Visual Communication in context 1 - Radio type, 9th March-23rd April

Designing a four paged layout for a magazine/ journal from a radio interview about a designer. At random choice I chose David Crow, my first thought about this project was that it seems a bit boring, but only having the brief for two days I think it will improve and become more interesting. Listening to some of the interview of David Crow, I don't think there is much visually that I could relate to the conversation to convey his personality and style on a layout, but I'm sure researching his work and looking into him more as a person I'm sure will come up with some creative ideas. But gaining tutorials on Indesign is a bonus as I have never used the programme before.

War on Want feedback and further progression

Having had a great response to my War on Want campaign as well as others in the group, we have all teamed together to create a PDF of our posters and second dimensions to present to War on Want to actually see if they would like use any of our ideas. From my feedback it made me see how to reach higher goals in projects to come, especially in the technical field of how typography is technically used on posters etc.

Thoughts on my final animation

Finishing yet another project, I feel that this wasn't as successful. My sketch book supporting my animation and typography, imagery could have been more detailed and included more research about interactive animation. I wanted a more interactive animation as I knew I could keep the viewers attention, having a build up to the statistics using the game theme I thought worked really well. From what I started of creating I do think my development has shown a clear response to the Kalashnikov by taking it back to its roots, by creating a Russian theme. Another negative reason to why I think I didn't successfully complete the criteria  of the brief was due to my organisation and planning skills. I didn't plan as well as other projects nor did I document a plan to guide myself throughout the 5 weeks. I have thought of further developments and changes I could make to my animation.
